In the Uk we used to have a highwayman (a horse borne robber) a few centuries back, who would leap out in front of coaches, pistols brandished, and shout &quot;Stand and Deliver&quot; before robbing everyone. So a good phrase to describe that old 20th century learning over here is &quot;stand and deliver&quot; - not the least because it robs everyone of opportunity!</description>
