		<description>I agree! These new research skills will be critical in the future, no matter what the future will bring (see Dave Riddell&#039;s post: http://tinyurl.com/3mungm). I&#039;d also mention that there is still some value, I think, in having a basic, factual background, at least for scientists. As a grad student I find myself doing a mix of looking up things that I know I&#039;ve forgotten, and drawing on the knowledge that I do remember from my undergraduate days.</description>
