Last week I arrived at school one morning and went to follow my twitter network when…uh oh…up came the standard filter message…twitter had been blocked!
Seems that Websense – which is used by the Department of Education – had recategorized Twitter into a category that was taboo at school. Fortunately, after a quick plea to our district who then forwarded it to the department’s IS staff, it seems that Twitter has been released. As I pleaded – twitter is my primary connection to the edublogotwitterverse – my personal learning network.
What is twitter? Well, think of it as microblogging with a built in RSS…maybe this quick video will help.
